Alice Hasen

Alice Hasen is a professional violinist/fiddler specializing in rock, folk, roots, jazz and classical music.  Born in Vermont but residing in Memphis, TN, Alice is the leader of Alice Hasen and the Blaze, a fiddle-powered groove band that primarily plays Alice's original compositions.  Alice is also a member of the Blackwater Trio, an acoustic rock group.  Outside of these acts, Alice collaborate with several singer-songwriters, bands and recording artists in the South.  Alice currently serves on the Southeast Regional Folk Alliance (SERFA) Board of Directors.

Alice has been live streaming to Facebook (Alice Hasen Music) for nearly two years for her #FiddlersFriday weekly live stream.  Through this time, she has fine-tuned her streaming techniques using the following tools.  For inquiries about setting up a live stream at your venue or adding Alice to your virtual lineup, please use the form at the bottom of this page.

• Use of Streamyard broadcasting platform to stream to both Facebook and YouTube simultaneously
• Use of H4 Zoom Audio Interface or Focusrite Scarlett, both with AKG studio microphone 
• Macbook Pro with Ethernet cable
• Stand-mounted ring light 
• Pre-Show sound check to ensure audio quality 
• Venmo, CashApp and PayPal information for virtual payment / tips

Venue requirements for an in-person live stream:

• Power source for Macbook, ring light, Focusrite Scarlett
• Ethernet connection and password
• Protected space (away from audience) for streaming equipment
